BENEDICTUS QUI VENIT
IN NOMINE DOMINI!

This is not news at all - but I want to share this serendipitous online find - a picture that shows Cardinal Ratzinger in Spain 2003, elevating at Benediction one of Spain's holiest relics, the Cross of Carnavaca, also called the Vera Cruz (True Cross), because of what tradition (Spain) says was its miraculous origin.



I don't have more information because the picture was sent by a contributor to a forum dedicated exclusively to 'Processions of Relics', and the sender merely says it was taken during such a procession in Carnavaca with 'the man who is now our Pope'. And I only came across the forum because I was searching the Spanish-content files for images of today's saint, St. Pedro Gonzalez Telmo...
