As I am not very imaginative and have quite a prosaic mind, I am thankful to Vatican Radio for the 'instant' vignettes they created and posted last night as soon as the Holy Father had left Malta to commemorate another perfect apostolic visit....




They help fix the images of Malta in the mind and perfectly portray the luminous spiritual and warmly personal characteristics that Benedict XVI has placed on his Pontificate...

The Vatican announces that at 1 p.m. today, the Holy Father will lunch with the members of the College of Cardinals who are in Rome at this time, to mark the fifth anniversary of his election to be the Successor of Peter.
